Portsmouth Costumiers specialises in vintage classic style formal and cocktail attire as well as bridal. 

We have an inclusive, welcoming outlook for all.  

 

We also provide theatrical costume design and construction services for theatre productions and live music events/tours.  We offer bespoke, as well as a small limited run of classic vintage inspired pieces. In addition, we carry out specialist military tailoring for local associates Tin Trousers at HMS Nelson (for that kind of work, please book directly via the web-link).

Designs are created collaboratively between Southsea friends Naomi Gibbs, Linda Canning and Sandra Reinolde with a modest team of other highly experienced freelance makers.

Our studios are within two beautiful Victorian saloon-bars, nestled inside the stunning Grade 2 listed New Theatre Royal (where Naomi is designer in residence), in the seaside naval city of Portsmouth.

Appointments take place at the theatre, allowing clients a chance to take in some of it's beauty and atmosphere. Clients may request a ground-floor level consultation/fitting if there are access requirements.

Construction of every garment is unique, handmade with fine fabrics. Naomi and Linda work closely with a small team of talented, trusted freelancers, to produce your individual pieces within the studios. Each garment is hand finished, a very personal touch.
